We are plywood lovers
We use plywood in the manufacture of our shelves. This material has a long history in furniture design. Major designers such as Arne Jacobsen or Charles & Ray Eames preferred this material. Not only is it extremely robust and malleable at the same time, but it is also very sustainable. Wood as a raw material can be optimally processed as plywood because all parts of the tree can be used and nothing goes to waste. Our shelves therefore make an ecological contribution entirely themselves. Last but not least, plywood also gains aesthetic appeal with age.
We use birch plywood that we finish with a completely innovative coating. The ultra matt white surface not only absorbs light reflections, but it also prevents unsightly fingerprints. It is also smudge-proof, scratchproof and very easy to clean.
World recycling champion: Steel
Steel is actually the most recycled material worldwide. We like to think that the steel in our shelves has already been part of a bicycle or washing machine, and of course the economical use of resources.
Raw steel is the most beautiful steel in our view. Its only disadvantage is its vulnerability to corrosion. We therefore give it a light gray or coral coating in a completely solvent-free, environmentally friendly process.
